EARLY VOTING:

APRIL 22-29

ELECTION DAY:

MAY 3

Tiger Community,

During their recent meeting on February 10, the Board of Trustees decided to call a bond election scheduled for May 3, 2025. This proposed bond package amounts to $17 million. We now turn to the community of Anson ISD to make their voices heard through their votes.

The bond proposal has been developed by the Facility Planning Committee, which reflects the District’s goal of transparency and collaboration with the community. This committee, consisting of representatives from across our community, has dedicated significant time over the past few months to evaluating our school district's facilities and identifying priorities. This initiative is part of a broader process that has been in motion for over a year, featuring extensive programming meetings, growth studies, and valuable input from community members.

Key components of the bond package include the construction of the following projects:

  • New Elementary Classrooms

  • New High School CTE Classrooms

  • New Field House

  • Turf Athletic Field

  • Re-surface Track

  • Administration Office and Auditorium Roof

  • Re-surface Parking Lots

  • New Elementary Playground

  • Renovate Elementary PE Gym

  • General Renovation

We are excited to unveil a comprehensive bond website in the upcoming weeks. This platform will serve as a valuable resource for detailed information regarding the projects and their expected tax implications, including an interactive tax impact calculator, voting information, and answers to frequently asked questions. Our aim is to ensure that all stakeholders are well-informed about the bond election process. Additionally, we will hold town hall meetings to provide opportunities for the community to learn more and engage in discussions.

We encourage all registered voters of Anton ISD to participate in this important election. Please note that the registration deadline is Thursday, April 3. Early voting will occur from Tuesday, April 22, to Tuesday, April 29, with Election Day on May 3.
